Losing icons like Dolly Parton and Peter Cullen hit me hard this week. Dolly reminded me so much of Charlie Kirk, and Charlie always reminded me of George Washington. And in many ways, Washington was Optimus Prime. They all had a rare, humble spirit that didn't care about self-promotion. Instead, they earned universal respect through pure character and conviction. But when icons like them leave us, we can't just sit back in sorrow. Their deaths are a call for the rest of us to look inside ourselves and say, "I'll step up." Sixteen years ago, I stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and said, "One man can change the world. That man or woman is you." I still believe that to be true today. Somewhere out there right now, there's another Charlie Kirk. There's another Dolly Parton. So, ask yourself this weekend: What can you do to be better, to be more uniting, and to live a life worthy of the same respect these legends earned?
