Historic Vids(@historyinmemes):While filming Mrs. Doubtfire, 14-year-old Lisa Jakub was expelled from her Canadian high school because her extended absence and on-set education conflicted with the school’s attendance requirements. Seeing how upset she was, Robin Williams wrote directly to the principal and asked him to reconsider. The school ultimately declined to readmit Jakub. However, Williams’ letter apparently made an impression—the school framed it and displayed it in the principal’s office.
