year 1 of tattooing 🖤 one of the greatest gifts we're given in life is the agency to be whoever you want to be -- i started tattooing part time on real skin about 1 year ago (still a tech workaholic full time with no plans to change) and am inordinately grateful for this journey that has brought me worldwide, to work in studios + alongside artists i’ve dreamed about for years ~60 tattoos down and unbelievably floored to have tattooed dozens of my friends, colleagues, and loved ones. i have neither a formal tattoo portfolio nor a dedicated instagram account, so am extremely grateful to have had a pretty steady stream of clients from word of mouth + referrals; to date, i've only had one client that didn't come from my existing network, which feels pretty surreal to say but more than anything, i think i am most grateful to have found a craft that's led me back to my roots, as just a girl who loves to draw. in a world where velocity in startups is everything, tattooing has taught me how to find presence again — and how sometimes the fastest way to doing something right is actually in giving it the time and patience it deserves 📸 ft. - coverup in progress from friday's 10 hr session - some recent work i'm proud of - hand tats for @kenton_cooley at the @mtndao office -- my favorite workstation of all time - my loyal portuguese content team @GC_onX @TiagoTheCreat0r books are open all month at @mtndao 🗻🖤
