been playing around w the @Markets_xyz app for the past few weeks i have to mark dis as a paid post bc they sponsor the podcast but these are my unfiltered thoughts. i don't have any obligation to post about them but think it's interesting social trading has been getting a lot of attention lately, and it's mostly been focussed around memecoins, fomo etc this scene is not for me and i think most of it is just leading ppl to the slaughter n farming copy traders. but the social aspect of trading makes sense to me there is a low percentage of careered professional traders who are consistently profitable, and they are clearly good at what they do public blockchains ensure visibility over these wallets is possible and for the first time in markets you are able to see minute by minute what the best are doing like most skills, i think it can be very helpful to watch others do before trying to attempt, and even then by taking it very slowly. the last thing you want to do is try to learn how to trade by putting your entire networth on leverage you can also get a good feel by copy trading positions with small size, understanding products etc the markets app is quite good at aggregating most of your favourite traders on here and presenting it in a way that's quite nice to watch / understand. it also runs on hyperliquid when i first started trading this would have been a tool that would have been helpful to me, esp the bias long/short of profitable traders personally lev trading isn't really for me, i am more of a spot swing kinda guy. but if you are curious at learning or wondering where to start, i think looking at the markets app is interesting id recommend following some profitable traders in the app and just watching for a while. i also find it quite interesting to see many of the big X accounts on there and how they are positioning in the market ppl trading micro caps are generally not the ppl who you will learn from, avg hold time of 3mins is deeply unserious. stick to majors and have a play around i think social trading is here to stay, but i think the healthy version of it looks much more like the markets app than fomo or pump fun the data should continue to improve and should become more helpful over time as a tool to be used within a trading system imo ily
