So
@marckohlbrugge gave me an idea
Check how all your food and health things affect your productivity
I log most of my work (and many other things) religiously on his site so it's easy to pull it from that
Good for my productivity:
๐งโ๐ซ gym with PT +20%
๐ง low fat food % +16%
โ๏ธ tan +16%
๐๏ธ gym +13%
๐ฅต high strain +13%
๐ high carbs % +12%
๐ฅ low calories +10%
๐ฅฉ high protein % +9%
โ๏ธ cool bedroom +8%
๐ก๏ธ warm bedroom +7%
๐ง humid bedroom +6%
๐ง low strain +1%
๐ด good sleep +1%
๐ง sauna +1%
Bad for my productivity:
๐บ alcohol โ28%
โ๏ธ travel long-haul โ26%
๐ค sick โ25%
๐ง high fat food % โ24%
๐ massage โ23%
๐ฅฉ low protein % โ20%
๐ฉ๏ธ travel short-haul โ18%
๐ฅ high calories โ14%
๐ low carbs % โ12%
๐ป coworking โ7%
๐๏ธ gym solo โ7%
๐ฅฑ bad sleep โ6%
๐ bath โ4%
๐ฅ martial arts โ2%
๐ต dry bedroom โ2%
Most interesting for me is that days where I go to gym and have heavy strain are actually the days I am most productive (๐งโ๐ซ gym with PT +20%). Even with 1 hour spent in the gym and another 30 mins showering after etc.
Then if you look at the worst for productivity: imagine having a life flying around all the time (โ๏ธ travel long-haul โ26%), drinking alcohol (๐บ alcohol โ28%), overeating (๐ฅ high calories โ14%) low protein (๐ฅฉ low protein % โ20%) fat food (๐ง high fat food % โ24%)
Also interesting coworking (๐ป coworking โ7%) with other people destroys my productivity (kinda obvious though but worth it for social)
Note: most of these are not significant so they're more directional hypotheses to test more and require more data (which I collect every day of course)
