At 3:17 a.m., I received a voice note from my sister.
It was only six seconds long.
I pressed play.
Her voice whispered:
“Don't trust him.”
I called her immediately.
She answered, confused.
“What are you talking about?”
“You just sent me a voice note.”
“I've been asleep.”
I checked the message again.
It had been sent from her phone.
Then another voice note arrived.
This one was from my phone number.
And it said:
“She knows.”
