Revolut just secured a full banking licence in Colombia. The SFC has granted Revolut Bank Colombia S.A. its licencia de funcionamiento — the second and final step after last year’s incorporation approval. That is the green light to start standing the bank up, not a quiet paperwork update. The numbers: more than 80 million customers worldwide, nearly 200,000 Colombians already on the waitlist, and another $62 million going into infrastructure and tech. Reuters says that doubles the original investment. Deposits will sit under Fogafín once it is live. Launch is still some way off — 2027, according to Reuters.
