🇪🇺HUGE: ECB President Christine Lagarde personally intervened to block Binance from securing an EU-wide license, per WSJ.
European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde reportedly intervened to shut out the world’s LARGEST spot CEX from obtaining a Europe-wide crypto license, applied through Greece, despite Greek officials telling Binance its application was complete.
Binance had already prepared a “Major Milestone” announcement, with CEO Richard Teng planning to travel to Athens for a photo with Greece’s Prime Minister before the plan was ultimately derailed.
