My dad called me at 11pm and said "Do chickens have ears?" I said "What?" He said "Your mother and I have been arguing for two hours. Do chickens have ears." I googled it. They do, apparently they're just holes covered by feathers. I told him this. He was silent for a long time and then said "Your mother is going to be unbearable about this." Then he hung up. The next day my mom texted me a photo of a cake she made that just says "I WAS RIGHT" in frosting. My dad responded to the family group chat with "The chicken thing is still developing." It's been three weeks. My mom brings it up daily. She's introduced herself to strangers as "the woman who won the chicken ear debate of 2024." My dad has started saying "allegedly" after everything she says. I've created a monster. Two monsters, technically.
