put the techne back in technology
Technē is an ancient Greek word for craft, skill, and the knowledge involved in making something. It’s also the root of the word technology.
It means practical knowledge: knowing how to make or do something well. Building, medicine, farming, art, craft.
In an age of exponential technology, I think there’s contrarian asymmetric upside in technē.
