🚨STARSHIP IFT-13 HAS JUST BEEN SCRUBBED! But the significance of what @SpaceX is attempting has not changed. 20 Starlink V3 satellites. Not dummies. Arrays, antennae and laser links activated within minutes. @TeslaLarry says attempting this on Flight 13 is itself a huge signal. Larry believes V3 production is already underway and that SpaceX must have considerable confidence in the satellites to place 20 of them aboard such a demanding test flight. “They must be pretty confident in themselves.” A few things that really stood out from our pre-launch conversation: > Larry expected this milestone on Flight 14 or 15, not Flight 13 > Twenty functional satellites are an enormous step beyond dummy deployments > SpaceX plans to extend their arrays and antennae, then attempt laser connections during the short suborbital flight > The mission could show whether Starship is ready to become the deployment engine for the next generation of Starlink The launch can wait.
