A person openly encouraging married people to betray their partners isn’t automatically “just entertainment.” And if someone chooses to consistently consume and celebrate that message, their partner is allowed to notice the values being normalized. That isn’t insecurity. It’s observation. You don’t control what someone watches but you’re also not required to ignore what their chosen influences say about the values they admire. Influence leaves fingerprints. Pay attention.

Calling out content that encourages people to betray their commitments isn’t automatically insecurity. If someone consistently consumes advice that normalizes dishonesty in relationships, it’s reasonable to question the values being promoted not to control the person consuming it. Influence matters. Choices matter. And compatibility matters. You don’t have to police someone’s timeline. Sometimes, you simply pay attention to what they repeatedly endorse.
