polymarket just changed how crypto up/down markets settle
if you’re having a hard time understanding TWAP, here’s an eli5:
before:
> market ended at 12:00:00
> one price at that exact second decided who won
> if someone managed to push the price for a moment, it could affect the result
now:
> resolution don’t depend on last second
> polymarket looks at the average price over the last 30-60 seconds (TWAP)
> one random spike won’t decide the market anymore
