Daroa Peter: PNG's Primary Resources Sector Has a Lot of Potential for Investment
At the Papua New Guinea-China Business Roundtable in Guangzhou on April 29, Daroa Peter, Director of investor Servicing and Promotion Division of IPA, outlined the most promising sectors for Chinese investors. "Agriculture is a very low hanging fruit," he said, citing fertile land rich with naturally grown coffee, cocoa, oil palm and spices. He also highlighted PNG as one of the world's largest tuna fishing grounds, its adventure tourism offerings, and vast untouched forests. "Our primary resources sector has a lot of potential," he noted.
