Singapore's chip route to Mexico is overwhelmingly processors and controllers. August 2026 exports to Mexico: • ICs and IC parts: S$2.54B, roughly US$2.0B. • Processors and controllers: S$2.45B, roughly US$1.9B. • Memory ICs: S$25.9M, roughly US$20M. Processors and controllers account for about 96.5% of the route's IC-and-parts export value. Memory accounts for about 1%. Mexico's electronics manufacturing footprint includes Foxconn ($2317.TW), which said in August that its Mexico capex would keep increasing. The useful signal here is the composition of the arriving hardware: this particular route is dominated by processors and controllers.
