A soup kitchen provides meals three times a week, but the food is limited and they often have to buy their own. Water distribution is unreliable, and Adam's mother has begun experiencing respiratory problems after months of living in the heat inside the tent. The family's main priorities are covering rent, securing enough food and water, and keeping the children in school.
