'the great question is why solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk?'
simple answer:
all memecoins are USELESS
and last time i checked there is a $30.6 BILLION industry of them
so you might as well buy THE one solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk coin!
longer answer:
(do note that this part is about to get REALLY long, but i'm in that mood and feel that some education is necessary so people really know what's in front of them)
many have always assumed that memecoin trading is pure luck
but that couldn't be farther from the truth
and there's no better person to take this from than someone who consistently took low 4/5/6-figure trades to $1m - $20m+ publicly on solana:DezXAZ8z7PnrnRJjz3wXBoRgixCa6xjnB7YaB1pPB263, $WIF, solana:9BB6NFEcjBCtnNLFko2FqVQBq8HHM13kCyYcdQbgpump, solana:7GCihgDB8fe6KNjn2MYtkzZcRjQy3t9GHdC8uHYmW2hr, etc. last cycle, in real time, while everyone told him he would fail
and every cycle, i make a handful of high-conviction, concentrated bets on the memecoins i believe can massively outperform
i don't pick them randomly
i look for specific things
here's why solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk checks so many of those boxes:
1. narrative
dogs, frogs, cats, robots, politicians, celebrities...
crypto has turned literally everything into a memecoin
but guess what?
they're all USELESS
that's what makes solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk so interesting
it's essentially the final boss of the entire memecoin meta
2. historical performance
you might think the 'USELESS' narrative is too bland or boring
that's fine
but here's the thing:
some of the biggest memecoins ever had incredibly simple narratives
'S H I B'
what even is a shib?
a Shiba Inu
and that somehow reached a $44B market cap
so instead of arguing about whether USELESS sounds exciting, look at what the market has actually done with it
after solana:6p6xgHyF7AeE6TZkSmFsko444wqoP15icUSqi2jfGiPN launched, almost no new memecoin was able to break $400m
outside of solana:FUAfBo2jgks6gB4Z4LfZkqSZgzNucisEHqnNebaRxM1P and YZY (one is the First Lady's coin and the second Kanye West's, so no surprises there!)
solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk did!
it went from roughly $4m to $450m ATH despite launching into some of the worst market conditions of the cycle
and here's the crazy part:
almost two years later, no other organic new memecoin has replicated that feat
NOT A SINGLE ONE!
USELESS has also consistently acted as one of the highest-beta memecoin plays against bitcoin:native
while maintaining strong relative OI and volume throughout the bear
that's not what you normally see from a small-cap memecoin
3. community
the solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk community is borderline cult-like
these people know exactly what they're holding
they'll literally tell you:
'yeah, we're holding a USELESS coin
so what?
it's still going to billions'
lmao
that's exactly the kind of community you want behind a memecoin
4. distribution
on-chain activity alone doesn't take a memecoin mainstream
distribution does
and solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk has spent the past year building exactly that
- Coinbase (biggest US CEX with 120 million users)
- Kraken
- Bitvavo
- Binance perps
- Bybit perps
- OKX perps
it has the infrastructure and exchange distribution necessary for retail liquidity to find it when the real mania arrives
and here's another interesting datapoint:
solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk is the second most traded memecoin on both Coinbase and Kraken yesterday and today, behind only Dogecoin (a feat it has pulled off a lot of times since it launched over a year ago)
that's the kind of positioning you want before retail really wakes up
5. mindshare
this might be the most underrated one
solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk triggers people
crypto purists hate it because it makes crypto look 'useless'
crypto haters use it as an example of everything they think is wrong with crypto
memecoin purists and CT traders dismiss it because they think it's too boring
but there's one thing none of them can seem to stop doing:
talking about it
and that's the point
memecoins are essentially tokenized attention
DOGE had attention
SHIB had attention
PEPE had attention
USELESS has attention
you don't need everyone to like your memecoin
you need them to notice it
6. whale + smart money inflows
USELESS has consistently ranked near the top of Solana memecoins for whale and smart-money inflows
even during weak periods, it regularly shows up near the top
and the latest move wasn't random either
whales were aggressively accumulating USELESS before the move
i highlighted that publicly on X while it was happening
then the move came
7. decoupling
this is one of the biggest characteristics i've seen in the best-performing memecoins of a cycle
at some point, they stop caring what the rest of the market is doing
USELESS has repeatedly shown this
it was up ~50% yesterday while practically everything else on Solana was deep red
it's been outperforming while bitcoin:native and the broader market look ugly
and this isn't new
USELESS went from roughly $4m to $400m during the Iran-Israel conflict while the rest of crypto was getting obliterated
then it went on to make a new ATH after 10/10, one of the biggest black swan events of the cycle
that's important
because it shows USELESS can attract its own flows
and when those flows arrive, it can outperform aggressively regardless of what the broader market is doing
i could keep going
but this is probably the longest post i've ever written about solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk
so i'll stop here
the point isn't that solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk is guaranteed to go up
nothing in memecoins is guaranteed
the point is that when you strip away the noise and actually examine the data, you start seeing something very interesting:
narrative
historical validation
cult community
distribution
mindshare
whale accumulation
independent flows
solana:Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk checks a ridiculous number of boxes
and the funny thing is...
most people will probably only become convinced after the market has already repriced it
that's how these things usually work
