The U.S. Senate makes progress on the Protect College Sports Act 🏀🏈 The bill would: • Limits college athletes to one penalty-free transfer and 5 years of eligibility • Establishes national NIL rules instead of separate state systems • Cap agent fees at 5% • Give the NCAA and conferences greater authority to enforce national rules • Guarantees scholarships for 10 years after an athlete’s eligibility ends • Senate voted overwhelmingly on a bipartisan 77-22 procedural vote • A final Senate vote is expected next week, after which it would need to pass the House • President Trump has said he will sign it if it reaches his desk
