Will McGugan(@willmcgugan):I'm sure Mac users knows this already, but I just discovered it. You can configure a gesture ctrl + double finger swipe to zoom the screen. It's an accessibility option, but if you are a pixel-peeper like me it is a fantastic aid for app / web development. I used to use an app called Slurp which is more of a color picker, but had a zoom option. But this builtin feature is way better.
