🇺🇸VIVEK: UNELECTED BUREAUCRATS ARE THE “FOURTH BRANCH” THE FOUNDERS NEVER WANTED
Running for Ohio governor, Vivek Ramaswamy is coming for the real deep state: not the feds, but the 222 boards and commissions writing 35,000+ pages of rules in Ohio alone.
His warning?
“The regulatory state has become the greatest threat to life, liberty and property in modern America.”
He points to a Cincinnati engineering firm punished for hiring a licensed contractor instead of a full-time employee — even though Ohio law didn’t say the engineer had to be an employee.
The board just made it up. Luckily, Ohio’s Supreme Court shut it down.
Vivek’s plan to fight the red tape overload:
- 10-for-1 rule: “Like Trump’s 10-for-1 deregulation policy, I will require Ohio agencies to repeal 10 rules for every one they propose.”
- Permit deadlines or else: “Departments that fail to comply will see their funding reduced.”
- Local justice: “Businesses should be able to challenge agency overreach in their home county, not be forced to drive to Columbus.”
- Good faith protection: “No one should be punished for acting in good faith — a simple mistake should not lead to financial ruin.”
Vivek:
"[The administrative state is] an unelected ‘fourth branch’ of government — one the Founders never envisioned, and the Constitution never authorized.”
And while most politicians just complain, Vivek’s ready to shred the paperwork.
