Some thoughts on what is needed for global markets to stabilize. Views welcome. US market have sold off in a unhinged way ! (over 10% in last 2 days) Why ? Because the tariffs imposed were unhinged ! Instead of reciprocal (I do to you what you do to me) they were calculated in a arbitrary manner - based on the total trade imbalance with each country ! And that makes the Trump administration look unhinged. These moves suggest that they want to wipe off deficits meaningfully.. not just tariffs but more structural & non-trade barriers as well.. but eliminating deeply in-built non tariff barriers will take years or may never happen.. so this is just not credible ! basically it has become a credibility issue ! For global markets to stabilize - we need to see credible off ramps for countries with respect to these tariffs. Basically a message or path forward from Trump or his team - which tells other countries - 'you do this & this and we will bring these tariffs lower' So all the market may actually need to stabilize may be a headline away ! اسلام آباد:وفاقی وزیر داخلہ محسن نقوی کی زیر صدارت نیکٹا کے بورڈ آف گورنرز کا 5واں اجلاس اجلاس میں وزیر مملکت برائے داخلہ طلال چوہدری کی بھی شرکت نیشنل کوآرڈینیٹر نیکٹا ڈاکٹر خالد چوہان نے بورڈ ممبران کو تفصیلی بریفنگ دی اجلاس میں نیکٹا کے تحت قائم ہونے والے ادارے نیشنل انٹیلیجنس فیوژن اینڈ تھریٹ اسیسمنٹ سنیٹر (NIFTAC) کی منظوری دی گئی وزیر داخلہ محسن نقوی کا کہنا تھا کہ دہشتگردی کے مکمل سدباب کے لئے متعلقہ اداروں کی مشاورت کے بعد اس ادارے کا قیام عمل میں لایا گیا۔ تمام صوبائی دارالحکومتوں میں بھی PIFTAC کا قیام عمل میں لایا جائے گا۔ اس ادارے کا قیام نیکٹا کے حقیقی مقاصد کے حصول کی طرف ایک اہم قدم ثابت ہو گا۔ نفٹیک (NIFTAC) کا قیام نیشنل ایکشن پلان پرمکمل عملدرآمد کو یقینی بنانے کیلئے کارآمد ہوگا۔ سینیٹرز منظور احمد اور پونجو مل بھیک کی بھی نیکٹا بورڈ آف گورنرز کے اجلاس میں شرکت۔ اجلاس میں سیکرٹری داخلہ، چیف کمشنر اسلام آباد کی بھی شرکت۔ چاروں صوبائی سیکرٹریز داخلہ بطور ممبر نیکٹا بورڈ آف گورنرز کے اجلاس میں شریک ہوئے انسپکٹر جنرل پولیس پنجاب، سندھ، خیبر پختونخوا، بلوچستان، آزاد کشمیر اور گلگت بلتستان کی بھی اجلاس میں شریک اجلاس میں نیشنل کوآڈینیٹر نیکٹا ڈاکٹر خالد چوہان کی پیش کردہ تمام سفارشات کی منظوری دی گئی
