Il a filmé une vidéo dans la salle de réunion du Parlement européen et l'a postée sur TikTok. Fidias a déclaré qu'en tant qu'eurodéputé, il recevait 8000 euros par mois net d'impôts. En plus de son salaire, il reçoit 350 euros supplémentaires pour chaque jour où il se rend au Parlement et signe dans un registre spécial. Un montant supplémentaire de 30.000 euros par mois est versé au député pour les salaires de son équipe, et 5000 euros par mois pour un bureau dans son pays. Il reçoit 4000 euros pour une campagne de relations publiques concernant ses activités au Parlement européen. Un autre montant de 10.000 euros par mois est versé pour inviter des personnes au Parlement européen et leur expliquer ce que font les députés. J'ai également un chauffeur à Bruxelles et des billets en classe affaires pour rentrer dans mon pays, a déclaré Fidias Panayiotou. Il a demandé à ses partisans : Pensez-vous que nous sommes sous-payés ou surpayés ?
