Went out for a run on the National Mall and couldn’t help but think that the only thing he’s actually managed to drain is that Reflecting Pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial. So forgive us if we don’t believe him when he says he’s going to give everybody $5,000, but only after the election and only if they win. You know, if Republicans really want to give everybody a few thousand dollars, they would have done it this week instead of going home for two months in the middle of multiple national crises.
