@CFTC will host a public roundtable in Washington on Dec 15 to discuss moving US derivatives markets to round-the-clock trading. Topics include overnight trading, tokenization, infrastructure and staffing, and whether markets are ready to run nonstop.
It builds on the agency’s July request for comment on 24/7 futures trading and perpetual contracts. Chairman Mike Selig (
@ChairmanSelig) said the CFTC will not take a one-size-fits-all approach. The event will be livestreamed, and the public can nominate speakers.
