Malaika Chitre and Navam Kaul, both Rutgers graduates, somehow ended up on the tracks around 3:15am According to police the two had been seen hugging and kissing on the platform before that Investigators believe Kaul may have lost his balance and fallen onto the tracks hitting his head and Chitre then appeared to have gone down trying to help him The train operator saw them and attempted to stop but there wasn't enough distance. About 100 passengers were evacuated from the train.
