Blizzard has filed a lawsuit against Project Ascension, one of the largest custom World of Warcraft private servers. Blizzard claims that Project Ascension uses World of Warcraft content without permission and profits from it through donations and premium features. The company also accuses the server of bypassing Blizzard’s protections, violating U.S. copyright law. Project Ascension is known for major changes to the game, including a classless system and other custom features that have made it popular with players. Project Ascension has not yet had its day in court and will have a chance to respond, but we know how this will end..
