Some fake wallpapers are uploaded as “Application” wallpapers, which can run programs on your PC. These files have been used to install malware, steal Steam accounts, collect personal information, and even mine cryptocurrency. Some of the malicious wallpapers were downloaded thousands of times before being removed.
