The American Dream belongs to Americans. And right now, it’s under threat. Home price growth increased 30% and rent growth 20% thanks to Democrats’ open borders. If Democrats take back power, this starts again. Day one, the border reopens. The migrants flood back in. The same finite housing stock gets squeezed by the same artificial demand. That young couple saving for their first home goes back to square one — except home prices are even higher and the window is even smaller. That’s exactly why I introduced the Homeownership Eligibility Reform Act. My bill helps fix what Biden broke, and makes sure it can never happen again. It restricts taxpayer-backed mortgages through FHA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac to U.S. citizens only, locked permanently into statute. An administrative action can be reversed on day one.
