Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao(@SECNAV):Today at Camp LeJeune, @USMCSgtMaj, @CMC_MarineCorps, @Dakota_Meyer, Pastor Peters and I spoke with Marines about an important topic that we must directly address: Suicide. For too long, we’ve ignored proven intervention strategies and instead relied on compulsory training sessions. That’s going to change. Today, I am reaffirming my commitment to the Suicide Prevention and Response Task Force that was launched back in February to singularly focus on how the Department of the Navy can best provide the support our Sailors and Marines deserve. Taking care of our people is more than a priority

Today at Camp LeJeune, @USMCSgtMaj, @CMC_MarineCorps, @Dakota_Meyer, Pastor Peters and I spoke with Marines about an important topic that we must directly address: Suicide. For too long, we’ve ignored proven intervention strategies and instead relied on compulsory training sessions. That’s going to change. Taking care of our people is more than a priority - it is a responsibility.
