Today, MPs backed a Bill that makes our asylum system fairer: fairer for genuine refugees, and fairer for local communities
This new Bill ensures protections are in place for genuine refugees, while tackling abuse of our asylum system, and lightening the burden on local communities.
We are bearing down on uncontrolled, unsafe and illegal small boat crossings - and moving towards capped, safe and legal routes for genuine refugees.
