The Athletic | Football(@TheAthleticFC):Four weeks ago, Cristian Romero and Djed Spence were facing off in a World Cup semi-final. This week they could both be sold by Tottenham Hotspur. The club have traditionally had a complicated relationship with selling. The problem for Spurs was not the big deals. It was everything else. On so many occasions, Tottenham failed to sell at the right time, missing the chance to move players on when there was a genuine market for them. That's why if Spurs sell Romero and Spence, it would signal a dramatic shift in their transfer policy. 📝 @JackPittBrooke
