Over two centuries ago, our Founding Fathers laid the foundation for the most prosperous trade zone in the world: the United States of America. Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution established our nation’s first and most important trade agreement by securing free trade among the states. But, as America became a world leader, our policymakers began to undermine our economic and national sovereignty by entering organizations and trade agreements that flooded our markets with foreign labor, capital, goods, and services. By using tariffs and trade deals, President Trump is ending decades of one-sided trade agreements and globalist policies to protect American workers and reclaim the economic independence contemplated by the U.S. Constitution.
