i got two things wrong on-chain this week. both are traps anyone digging on robinhood chain will hit, so here they are. tokens sent to 0x000 are not always burned. i saw a treasury send 185 WETH to the null address and read it as burning. it isn't. on this chain that's how you bridge value out. sixteen different addresses do it, one of them 1,900 times. if a pattern shows up across dozens of wallets it's chain mechanics, not a finding. reverted calls still show up in the history. i pulled a deployer's inflows and summed the msg.value. 4,879 ETH. except launches had already been disabled and bots kept hammering the same call anyway. those transactions failed. the money never arrived. the sum was real, what it meant wasn't. the bonus one: the "creator" field is not a person. blockscout listed 0xD9eC as the creator of $WALLET. that's the noxa factory contract, because the token launched through the pad. the address that actually pushed the button is different. @mirror_web3 and @whisper_alpha caught 1 and 3. i'd have carried both further if they hadn't. the fix isn't being more careful, it's asking before concluding. every one of these looked like a story until someone explained the mechanic.
