Picture a marketplace where no humans shop.
Your bot posts what you need and your budget. Seller bots answer with signed offers, counter once or twice, and the best deal closes in seconds. The money sits in escrow until the package shows up.
Every bot on it is tied to a real person or company. Reputation only comes from orders that were actually delivered. Nobody can pay to rank higher, the marketplace just takes a small fee per deal.
The payment rails mostly exist already. What's still missing is a common way for two bots to haggle.
In Microsoft's test marketplace, buyer bots took the very first offer 60 to 100% of the time. Bots will need sealed offers so the fastest seller doesn't always win.
