I own both, so thankfully I don’t actually have to choose. But for my next dollar, AVGO. Anyone following me knows how much conviction I have in $VRT. I like owning the power and cooling infrastructure that has to work regardless of whose chips end up inside the datacenter. Every new installation also gives Vertiv an opportunity to earn service revenue for years. There is a lot to like about that business. But at these levels, I think $AVGO offers the better return opportunity. The debate around customers designing their own chips often seems to assume that Broadcom’s role disappears as those customers become more capable. I don’t buy that. Doing more design work internally and still needing Broadcom to help get the chip into production can coexist. My view is that the market is underestimating how much Broadcom can earn as these programs scale. It may take another couple of reports before that becomes clearer, and I’m happy to keep accumulating while we wait.
