Even AI-based human cognitive decline stems from this, indirectly; the policy choices elites and their captured states make across the board lead to horrified humans seeking to dissociate from their lives, and many will dive into doomscrolling or do their work with AI because they can’t be present in their bodies for very long without pain. (These elites sell human minds, bodies, attention, and time as products, too.)
