Good to see WAYS & MEANS Committee moving on digital asset tax rules, and grateful for the time the working group has spent so far.
As written, the wrapped asset provision only reaches cross-chain wraps. Every deposit into Aave and every liquid staking position produces a same-chain receipt token, and none of those are covered. Leaving them out excludes the largest category of wrapped assets in DeFi.
The pool token provision gets part of the way there, but a direct fix to the wrapped asset definition would fully close the gap.
