Mert views Zcash + NEAR as a parallel to what Bitcoin + Ethereum aimed to become
“You can kind of say that Zcash is an alternative to Bitcoin, and some people will say it’s a better Bitcoin”
“NEAR is sort of what Ethereum aimed at being”
“NEAR is demonstrably doing that right now via NEAR Intents”
Zcash brings the monetary + privacy layer. NEAR gives ZEC connectivity across chains and access to ecosystems like Solana.
Two different networks, increasingly connected by the same thesis.
