A student with an old gaming card gets the same file as a company. He can study it, change it, build a product on it and keep it when the lab changes its mind. Now look at who does this. Alibaba, DeepSeek, Zai, Moonshot, MiniMax. The labs doing what you ask for are Chinese. And look at who gets the billions. Closed American labs that sell access by the month and cut it when they want. Those are the ones Washington invites to sign papers. If you want AI for all of humanity, fund and protect open weights. Everything else is a dogshit.
