On Aug. 24, Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee Wang Huning met with U.S. delegates attending the third China-U.S. Track 1.5 Dialogue in Beijing. Wang noted that in May this year, President Xi Jinping and visiting U.S. President Donald Trump held in-depth communications on major issues bearing on China-U.S. relations as well as world peace and development. China is ready to work with the United States to fully and faithfully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, foster correct mutual understanding, respect each other's core interests, strengthen practical cooperation across various fields, properly manage differences, and actively build a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability.
