Zcash Rally Reignites Debate Over Whether Narrative Matches Fundamentals Zcash’s zcash:native recent surge is fueled primarily by narrative trading according to F2Pool co-founder Chun Wang. According to him, the ranking in the market does not do justice to the underlying fundamentals of Zcash. Wang had also criticized the reward scheme of Zcash from its initial days. He had mentioned that 20% of the reward per block went to the founders, employees, advisors, and investors of the project. The reward scheme resulted in dispensing 2.1 million ZEC in the first four years. This he claims is quite unlike how Bitcoin’s mining mechanism worked. Comparing Zcash to networks like Solana and Hyperliquid, Wang raised doubts on whether it provides similar network utility to these networks.
