I run multiple businesses across multiple time zones, with hundreds of people on the team and thousands of clients worldwide. And the whole thing runs on five words. Alignment. The whole team understanding where we've come from and where we're going. Our origin, mission, and vision, and a three-year target broken back into what we're doing in the next ninety days. 2. Awareness. Great companies don't wait for things to break. They surface what they can see coming, capture it, and talk about how they'll address it, long before it festers into a problem. 3. Accountability. Every person knows exactly what they're accountable for and the numbers they're measured against, and every person knows what everybody else is accountable for too. It's all out in the open. 4. Activity. The Perfect Repeatable Week. Monday morning, everyone names the 3-6 things they're working on. Friday afternoon, we check how many of them got done. 5. Assets. Every quarter we turn that activity into something permanent, something that carries on working regardless of what the team are doing that week.
