THIS is how you earn a customer for life. A woman called Chewy after a $70 bag of prescription dog food arrived three days after her dog died. She expected return labels, shipping fees, and a hassle. Instead, Chewy refunded every penny, told her to donate the food to a local rescue, and two days later sent flowers with a handwritten condolence card. That’s not “customer service.” That’s being human when somebody is hurting. Companies spend millions trying to manufacture loyalty. Sometimes all it takes is compassion.
