Tomorrow the annual World Humanoid Robotics Games (WHRG) gets underway in Beijing. Robots from across the world will compete in a host of sporting disciplines including 100/200M sprint, high jump, synchronized dance and tug of war. Chinese robots are widely expected to eclipse a range of human world records, including Usain Bolt's 100m record. It is clear from the video below that the Chinese have made exponential progress in robotics in the last year. We are curious as to how @elonmusk feels American made humanoids such as Optimus would perform in the Games against the competition from the East? Is America falling behind in what is effectively the new space race, or would Robots such as Optimus or other leading American humanoids be competitive at the WHRG?
