Your value as a designer is being able to see things differently from your peers. Your value is in having a unique sensitivity to the friction points in your user flows, and a spidey sense for intuitive patterns.
Then, being able to turn those intangible thoughts and feelings into precise language that accurately describes the problem:
Vibe coder: “Make the design cleaner.”
Designer: “Keep the same information density, but increase the visual separation between section headings and field labels"
Expertise is being able to perceive nuance and articulate with specificity.
