US energy stocks are having a historic year: The S&P 500 Equal Weight Energy ETF, $RSPG, is up +49.2% YTD, trading near its all-time high. $RSPG covers US energy sector stocks in the S&P 500, with each company receiving an approximately equal weight. The fund is now on track for its 3rd-strongest annual return since its inception in 2006. This would also mark its 6th consecutive annual gain, its longest winning streak on record. Only two years have had higher returns, in 2021 and 2022, at +53.7% and +52.2%, respectively.
