.@AndrewYang has one message for Silicon Valley: you need to help the rest of America get ready for what’s coming. "Building the future is hard work. And then trying to make it so that the rest of the country doesn't get super mad or sad, I know it's extra, but we kinda need you to help us do that too." "One of the things I said when I was running was, 'Look, it's not the innovator's responsibility to figure out all of the downstream impacts of the innovation. In theory, that's government's responsibility, and our government is asleep at the switch, and so some of the stuff is coming back on you.'" "Some of that, in my opinion, is unfair." "We still do need your help by coming clean about what you think is going to happen with this technology and maybe even helping fix the broken political mechanisms and systems so that we can actually make it a good environment for innovation, not an angry, unreasonable, hostile one."
