*The Mexica Princesses* imagines two Mexica noblewomen in love on a palace terrace overlooking Tenochtitlan. Surrounded by native flowers, they kiss in embroidered huipiles. The quetzal feathers in one woman’s hair evoke Xochiquetzal, Precious Flower, Teotl of love, beauty and desire.
