U.S. futures are holding up for now, but Japan’s market is still feeling the pressure. 🇯🇵 Japan’s stock market came under pressure in early trading following losses in U.S. tech stocks. The Nikkei briefly fell more than 2% before paring some of its losses. Investors are focused on AI-related valuations and earnings expectations, while Japanese institutions’ continued selling of overseas bonds is also being closely watched. With Monday marking the anniversary of the 1987 “Black Monday,” investor sentiment is understandably cautious. For now, however, the market still appears to be undergoing a normal correction rather than heading toward a systemic crash.

Over the weekend, market chatter made “Black Monday” sound inevitable. But ahead of Monday’s open, U.S. stock futures moved slightly higher instead of extending the selloff: • S&P 500 futures: +0.2% • Nasdaq 100 futures: +0.2% • Dow futures: +0.1% Falling energy prices, along with President Trump’s call for a Russia–Ukraine ceasefire, offered some relief to risk assets. 📈 Still, this looks more like a brief recovery in sentiment than a clear all-clear signal. The modest gains suggest pressure hasn’t disappeared just yet. #USStocks# #WallStreet# #Markets#
