The problem was that looked extremely close to Old School RuneScape, Varma openly described it as an OSRS clone. After the RuneScape community drew attention to it, Jagex sent a cease-and-desist request. Elderwood was taken offline on September 9, with Varma confirming the project was being discontinued.
